 Making of Plantain Fufu

Plantain Fufu is a popular dish in West and Central African cuisine, particularly in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon. Plantain Fufu is made from ripe or unripe plantains, boiled and pounded into a thick, starchy dough.

Here is how to prepare the Plantain Fufu..

I will be using an unripe plantain to prepare this, wash your unripe plantain gently and cut into small pieces.

After cutting, transfer the plantain into your blender, add a little water into it and blend smoothly

Make sure you blend it smoothly, after blending, transfer the blended plantain in a pot

Stir until its comes together

Keep stirring until everything comes together

Add small hot water or cool water into it and let it steam together

Cover and cook for 10 - 15 mins

Then after 10 mins, stir together, you will see that it is done, scoop it out and enjoy it with your favorite soup🍲

Serving and Pairing

Plantain Fufu is typically served with soups or stews of your favorite such as:

- Egusi soup (melon seed soup)

- Okro soup

- Pepper pot soup

- Light soup

But I prefer mine  with Okro soup, it's yummy 😋!!

Enjoy your Plantain Fufu experience!
